These are the states of a gallery item all attained through the styles of a single layer alone; the three states are arranged as shown within a single editable PSD. The standard state shows the image without any change, the hover shows it with a little border in white and the selected state adds a black layer of transparency, with little caption title and description. Be sure to create the coded version of this to integrate it easily.
